In what is obviously a radical change from her first album, this new opus is more accoustic, emphasizing on guitars which highlight Emiliana's wonderful voice. She unveils a new side of her music personality, bringing a new sensibility and a new smoother and melancolic part to her music.
Emiliana had been silent for 5 years, mostly because of a dramatic event in her entourage, and her life changed a lot during that time. She left her label (One Little Indian) for Rough Trade, and admitted she wondered about her career for a while, especially with the multiple losses she endured in her family, which led her to almost give up on music. Her collaboration with Dan Carrey was a welcome change, and it gave her the opportunity to come back with a more personal album.
The 12 tracks work prefectly together, and you never see time passing by! The album received lots of very positive reviews, from the critics and from the fans, and is even the winner of the best pop album of the year at the Icelandic Music Awards 2005 (where Emiliana also wins for best female artist of the year).
